The Service User Involvement Team was set up in June 2003 by the Glasgow Homelessness Partnership. Our aim is to ensure people affected by homelessness have a voice in planning and designing services.
Glasgow Homelessness Partnership is responsible for looking at plans for what happens in homelessness in Glasgow over the next few years.
Part of this is to close the big hostels in Glasgow and replace them with smaller places or better support for people to get their own tenancies. James Duncan House (Bell Street) is now the only large scale male hostel and Glasgow City Councils' positon is that it will close by the end of the year. You can read more about these plans in the Hostel Closure section of this website.
